NieKawa Elementary School

The school is surrounded by mountains, forests and a river.

The overall design of the school, orientation of the building and location of the Classroom Wings, the overhangs and balconies were designed by Roya Taheri while at Chikuma Kobo, in a way to optimize the utilization of Solar Radiation, provide view and natural lighting, and allow for a large playground.

This elementary school was later converted to a vocational school.
